Azoospermia Treatment
What you need to know about: Azoospermia Treatment
Stem cell therapy, also known as regenerative medicine, offers a promising solution for treating absent sperm in male infertility. This innovative approach focuses on repairing damaged or dysfunctional tissues using stem cells. Unlike traditional organ transplants, which rely on scarce donor organs, stem cell therapy uses the body’s cells to regenerate tissues.
Our research team has mastered the technique of harvesting and growing stem cells in our lab. These stem cells are then programmed to differentiate into specific cell types necessary for tissue repair. When introduced into targeted organs or tissues, these specialized cells can proliferate, aiding in the rehabilitation of the deficient organ. This technique becomes particularly significant for cases where there is no sperm count due to conditions like Sertoli-Only Syndrome.
In such cases, our team employs a specialized methodology known as “testicular perfusion.” This process involves implanting stem cells directly into the testes, potentially enabling the production of sperm. We are excited to announce a major milestone: the birth of the first “Stem Cell” baby at our global center in Lahore, Pakistan. This achievement highlights the effectiveness of our procedure for couples dealing with azoospermia caused by Sertoli-Only Syndrome.
To obtain the necessary stem cells, we use adipose tissue collected through a minimally invasive abdominal liposuction procedure. This procedure is performed by a skilled surgeon, and we ensure that written consent is obtained from the patient beforehand. Once collected, the adipose tissue undergoes enzyme dissociation and other processes to isolate the stem cells. Simultaneously, we isolate the patient’s platelet-rich plasma (PRP) to enhance the treatment.
In summary, our stem cell therapy presents a hopeful option for individuals with no sperm count due to specific conditions like Sertoli-Only Syndrome. By utilizing advanced techniques and achieving successful clinical outcomes, we continue to offer innovative treatments for male infertility. This approach provides new possibilities for couples aspiring to become parents and fulfills their dreams of starting a family.
